Position Description
The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for the efficient, timely and appropriate implementation and support of business-related systems improve the Company’s business processes and related efficiencies. This position requires expertise in analysis, design, implementation, support and training of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and other related business systems. This position will work closely with the Director of Global IT and other internal customers to provide high-quality technology solutions that can be deployed globally. The overall objective is to identify and implement effective IT solutions to meet operational/business needs while balancing the site’s needs and goals with company-wide initiatives and standards.

 

Principal Accountabilities
• Help key members of the business to implement and update new and existing systems to ensure they meet the needs of our internal
   and external customers
• Monitor, coordinate and perform unit testing and system testing to verify proper system function including the development of test
 cases and test plans to reduce the risk of errors
• Identify and implement business process improvements
• Manage IT project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule and scope
• Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to IT problems
• Manage data verification, data mapping and validation of data
• Perform data analysis, query writing, and report development
• Assign duties, responsibilities and spans of authority to outside IT consulting services
• Monitor and assess performance of outside IT consulting services
• Implement new services and projects related to business systems
• Create, modify, and audit user accounts related to business systems
• Monitor, coordinate and perform unit testing and system testing to verify proper system function
• Responsible for disaster recovery plan related to business systems

Position Summary
GTx is dedicated to developing and commercializing novel treatments for patients suffering from rare and life-threatening neurological genetic diseases. Our initial product is a proprietary gene therapy approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of pediatric patients with SMA. In addition to developing a treatment for SMA, GTx also plans to develop other novel treatments for rare neurological diseases, including Rett syndrome.

GTx is seeking a Business Analyst that collaborates with Business Owners/Users to understand their demand, strategize solutions and collaborate on delivery of value added IT solutions representing Corporate Business Services (CBS) while working closely with TechOps, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance Departments.


Responsibilities:
• Serve as a Technology Service partner and represent CBS while working closely with TechOps,
   Supply Chain, Quality and Finance Departments.
• Gather Requirements/perform Scoping Assessments to determine feasibility of a Project/Solution
• Drive and collaborate with delivery team to implement new IT capabilities, including
    o Document as-is/to-be processes and data relationships/flows

Master Scheduler

Position Overview:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing the master production plan to achieve >98% On Time Delivery to customer demand.  This demand includes global customers, finished goods warehouses, and third party tolling partners.  This position will be responsible to determine and manage material planning while considering current inventory levels, lead -times, and production capacity. The Master Scheduler interfaces and communicates continuously with customer support, production, warehouse, and sales. 


Job Requirements:

  • Own the value stream; raw material to fulfilment.  Continually seek to eliminate waste in the process to improve effectiveness and key performance indicators.  Utilize Value Stream Mapping to identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Manage raw materials and finished goods in accordance with financial objectives 

  • Within QADs MRP system, develop production plans to meet customer and inventory demand and achieve on time delivery objectives optimizing QAD’s workflow and automated work orders. 

  • Create and implement periodic review of production plan to provide business visibility to maximize revenue opportunities and risks due to raw material and/or manpower constraints. 

  • Publish weekly and monthly on time delivery metrics and past due information with root cause analysis and countermeasures to improve. 

  • Develop process to proactively review material supply and demand to determine push/ pull actions appropriate to impact manufacturing MPS and supply MRP exception messages 

  • Develop daily process to work with the customer support department to ensure that production schedules are meeting both our manufacturing and customer service requirements by properly communicating availability dates. 

  • Participate in all production meetings 

  • Develop daily process to monitor open PO requirements to hold suppliers accountable to promise dates and requirements 

  • Assess impact to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may affect demand for product over and above the plan 

  • Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels with Operations Manager so that the customer requirements are maintained. 
     

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Master Scheduling / Supply Chain experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Production Operations or Supply Chain Management.  

  • QAD ERP System experience is required 

  • Proven experience with multi site (production, inventory) scheduling and planning including global supply chain. 

  • Lean Six Sigma greenbelt certification with focus and proven experience with Value Stream Mapping 

  • An individual with close attention to detail and proficiency with internal computer systems, including MRP systems Advanced planning systems, Microsoft Office, and Access Databases.
