Network Analyst I

Main Objective:
Server administration and application support of systems and process on computer networks.
  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Primary support for applications and data systems to include VMWare, Citrix and SAN storage.
2. Support Microsoft Windows Active Directory infrastructure.
3. Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades and services for streamlining and process improvements.
4. Support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation and upgrades for
  workstations and servers.
5. Support for disaster recovery.
6. Secondary support of server backup software and hardware processes, maintenance and monitoring.
7. Provide technical support to Help Desk personnel as required.
8. Primary support for application installation and deployment strategy.
9. Support SQL database server administration, SQL backups, disaster recovery, and high availability.
10. Use SMS and SCCM for software and hardware inventory as well as software deployment.
11. Support for Microsoft Windows applications.
12. Administration of Windows 2008, 2003 and 2000.
13. Support Group Policy.
14. Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades and services for streamlining and process improvements.
15. Support network and data systems to include Cisco and HP switching, wireless networks.
16. Proactive network monitoring unauthorized for access and security breaches using standard applications.
17. Monitor network equipment and processes with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SNMP and Argent.
18. Support AntiVirus and AntiMalware applications.
19. Support regulating and monitoring user access with applications such as Websense, Network
Access Control, Microsoft IAS.
20. Backup support for Firewalls and Internal Security applications.
21. Second Level End User support.
22. Projects and duties as assigned
  
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in network and application support. MCSE or CCNP required.
  
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking and design, security, Local and Wide Area network design. Experience with storage design, Citrix, virtualization, SQL administration and Firewalls.
  
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Servers, printers, desktop computers, laptops, miscellaneous hardware and software.

• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
• APICS certification, Six Sigma Black Belt, or MFG/PRO certification strongly preferred
• Strong development experience to include proficiency in the following Computer Programming Languages: 
  - SQL, VB.Net, C#, Progress 4GL, .NET, XML, ASP.Net
• And Experience in the following Technologies:

Manager - Information Technology

West Liberty Foods, a subsidiary of the Iowa Turkey Growers Cooperative, i slooking for a hard working Information Technology professional to manage the IT operations of a stable organization. Company headquarters are located just outside of Iowa City (IA), with state-of-the-art plant operations in West Liberty (IA), Mount Pleasant (IA), Sigourney (IA) and Tremonton (UT).
 
Primary Responsibilities
The IT Manager will be responsible for major IT projects, as well as the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology department. This position requires expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of technology and application related projects such as computing platforms, network and phone infrastructure, system software products and communication interfaces to meet business requirements. Six members of the IT staff will report directly to this position, and this position will report directly to the Director of IT.
 
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have track record of success in the management of people, processes, and projects. Technical and functional experience with QAD’s MFG/PRO application is required, along with leadership capabilities and a strong work ethic. He/she must be a fast learner and willing to engage in self-study to increase knowledge of any unfamiliar company technology.
 
Experience and/or knowledge of the following platforms/technologies will also be a key factor to success:
• QAD Enterprise Applications ERP software and related modules
• Progress, SQL, and Access database administration and programming
• Linux/Unix System Support, preferably Red Hat Linux AS 4.0 or greater
• VMware ESX, Virtual Center, and other Virtualization technologies
• Windows 2000/2003 Server platforms, including a multi-site Active Directory Domain, DFS, & Group Policies 
 
Educational and Other Qualifications:
• Four year college or university program certificate/degree in a related field
• 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 Years IT Management/Supervision with strong business acumen
• Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including the ability to describe complex systems
  in non-technical terms.
• Must be able to establish & maintain effective working relationship with supervisor, team members, and vendors.
• Experience in procurement, Inventory and Asset Management of IT equipment
• Self directed, must able to define both technical and business problems and create appropriate solutions
