QAD EDI Consultant

Join Strategic Information Group (Strategic) in providing exemplary QAD consulting services to our customers nationwide. The QAD EDI Consultant will deliver EDI development, testing and implementation services to our customers located throughout North America. Consulting in areas such as:
Develop and maintain eCommerce interface programs (maps) in QAD and Sterling/Gentran.
Develop and maintain UNIX scripts/PERL with embedded SQL used in the EDI process.
Perform analysis of specific EDI needs; then design, develop, test, and deploy professional solutions. Implementation of EDI transactions developed in accordance with established standards on application design, file structures, coding practices, quality assurance, documentation, etc.
Implements and maintains EDI trading partners and ANSI/X12 and EDIFACT standard documents while working with customer demands and interface applications.
Schedules/Performs training of groups and/or individuals on the general use and utilization of the systems and hardware ciated with electronic commerce.
Monitors transactions and resolves all error messages and/or lost transactions.
Develops proposals for process improvements, programming tools and standards, applications, and programming languages.
Acts as the liaison business support to our customer’s user departments involved with EDI, as needed.
Will facilitate resolution of moderately complex to complex client EDI problems. This person will be involved in all phases of a QAD EDI implementation from sales support, planning, and installation to post-implementation support and training. Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years QAD Enterprise Applications and EDI experience
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration and Windows a plus

- Occasional travel throughout North America
